WHAT IS HIFU ?
HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly. Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage. While this may seem counterintuitive, the damage actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen — a protein that provides structure to the skin.
The increase in collagen results less wrinkles whilst firming and tightening the skin. As the high-frequency ultrasound beams are focused on a specific tissue site below the skin’s surface, there’s no damage to the upper layers of the skin and adjacent issue.
The procedure tend to work better for people from the age of 30 with mild-moderate skin laxity. If people have photo-damaged skin or have a lots of loose skin then several treatments will be needed before seeing results.
Older people with more extensive photo-aging, severe skin laxity, or very saggy skin then this may not be the most effective option.
HIFU treatments can be used for face and body skin tightening as well as targeted fat reduction.

on the face, it can be used to improve cheeks, eyebrows, and eyelids , as well as enhancing jawline definition.

To get long-lasting results, two HIFU treatments are suggested with a six month gap between the first and second treatment. Treatment results can then be maintained with an annual treatment. For stubborn areas, you may need an extra treatment 3 months after the first treatment.
Areas which can benefit from HIFU include Face, Chin and Neck, Upper Arms, Declotage (Chest area), Abdomen/Tummy, Side Flanks / Love Handles, Thighs (options front/back/side(s)), Around Knee Area (Inner & above usually desired), Upper Back, Bottom, Vaginal tightening.
